Terms of Use

Last updated October 14, 2026. These terms are between you and WINGSPAN HQ PTY LTD (“Toast,” “we,” or “us”).

By using Toast, you agree to these terms. Please read them. If you don't agree, don't use Toast.

What Toast is

Toast lets a host collect short video messages from friends and family and turns them into one tribute film for someone's birthday, wedding, graduation, or other milestone.

Early access

Toast is free to use while we're in early access. That may change as we introduce paid plans. We'll give existing hosts notice before anything changes for events they've already created.

Your content

You need the right to upload anything you send through Toast, and you need the consent of anyone who appears in your video to film them and share that footage. Don't upload anything you don't own or don't have permission to share.

Songs you add

If you add a song or other audio to a film, you confirm that you own it or have every permission needed to use it in your film and to let Toast store, copy and play it for you, your recipient and anyone you share the film with. You are responsible for the songs you add and for any claim that arises from them. Toast does not check who owns a song. If a rights holder tells us a song in a film isn't licensed, we may remove the song or mute that part of the film, and we may do so without notice. Where we can, we'll tell you and let you add a different song.

Content we may remove

We can remove, or decline to include, content that's abusive, illegal, or violates these terms.

Your film

Once your film is made, it's yours. You can download it and share it with whoever you'd like.

Our license to your content

When you upload a video or other content to Toast, you give us permission to store, process, and edit it solely to provide the service, meaning building and delivering your film. We don't use your content for anything else, such as marketing or training AI models, unless you separately agree to it.

Music

Films may include background music. The tracks we provide are recordings shared under Creative Commons licenses, and their credits are shown in the app. If you add a song of your own, you need to have the right to use it in your film.

No warranty

Toast is in early access. We're actively building it, and features may change, break, or not work the way you expect. Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in these terms limits them.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, WINGSPAN HQ PTY LTD isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, like lost data or a film that didn't turn out the way you hoped. Where the Australian Consumer Law lets us limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, it's limited to supplying the service again or paying for it to be supplied again.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria can hear any dispute about them. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Toast changes. We'll update the date at the top when we do, and let you know if a change is significant.
